Beloved Lab

A humble ambassador promoting the production of recycled plastic objects.
The materials used to create the works are recycled and local.

All of my work is aimed at conveying ecological values with a singular
ethical objective: eliminating all plastic waste from nature.
In our seas. In our lands. In our bodies.

About

A Belgian artist driven by his ideas and interest in ecology. A ‘echte Brusseleir’ (a true Brussels native).
Formerly in advertising, now an artist.

The studio is located in the centre of Brussels.
Suppliers of recycled plastic and sustainable wood are just a stone’s throw away.

His works are created using a computer numerical control (CNC) machine capable of working on a surface area of 2800 x 1300 mm with a maximum thickness of 70 mm.

Philosophy

Use reliable local suppliers.
Use wood from sustainable forestry.
Use recycled plastic from your bins and your companies’ bins.
‘Eco-friendly’ is not just a buzzword.

A more sustainable system is possible.
It’s a choice, a middle finger to multinationals.

Methodology

Working on a CNC machine is not what you might imagine.

No, it’s not just a matter of pressing the “play” button and taking a nap. During machining, you have to stay alert and focused for long hours at a time.

Before that, you have to come up with powerful ideas.
Then you have to draw them using software and translate everything so that the CNC engine can understand it.
